Haidy Carrasquillo, MD

Dr. Haidy Carrasquillo Rodriguez was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, where she obtained her medical degree from San Juan Bautista Medical School in 1998. Her passion for helping others was evident from a very young age; every time someone got hurt in the baseball field across from her house, she would rush back home to find band aids to tend to those wounds.
Dr. Carrasquillo has had an impressive career with important roles across a variety of medical fields and settings, including emergency care, hospice and geriatric care. As a US Army Reserve veteran, she earned the Army Achievement Medal for her contributions as part of the Medical Unit 369 at Fort Buchanan.
For Dr. Carrasquillo, medicine is extremely personal and that’s why she believes that in order to truly achieve better health, doctors and patients need to forge a strong bond of trust and respect. She is a big believer that “challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes it meaningful”, and with this mindset, she wants to be part of a transformation of healthcare that SaludVIP is leading.

Luis Garcia Fresneda, M.D.
Adult Medicine
Dr. Luis Garcia Fresneda’s personal objective consists of improving and promoting the well-being of all patients through teamwork, thoroughness, empathy, and the best possible medical care that can be provided. He believes that health is the greatest asset we have, and if both patients and healthcare teams work together to maintain or improve it, the results will be better. This is exemplified by one of his favorite quotes from Benjamin Franklin, which states that “ an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Dr. Garcia felt drawn to medicine early on in his life, believing that medicine is not only one of the most beautiful areas of science, but also one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences since it involves helping others. Born and raised in Santiago de Cuba, he obtained his medical degree at the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba and completed his residency at Manati Medical Center in Puerto Rico. He specializes in adult medicine, urology, and managing chronic conditions.
Since 1994, Dr. Garcia has been the recipient of multiple special recognitions and awards, graduating cum laude and being part of NCQA recognition programs, as well as being passionate about breast and prostate cancer awareness. His hobbies include watching baseball, spending quality time with his family, watching movies, reading good books, and walking.

Italo Neira, APRN
Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
From a very young age, Dr. Neira knew that his life’s passion would be about understanding how our bodies work and using that knowledge to help others live healthier lives. Serving people and seeing the positive impact a physician can have on patients’ lives is what fills Dr. Neira with enthusiasm every day. His greatest reward is helping patients go home feeling better and happier.
In his spare time, Dr. Neira enjoys listening to music and playing guitar. He also likes reading, going to the beach and contemplating beautiful landscapes. He is actively involved in his community and participates in volunteering activities through his church.
Dr. Neira is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specialized in family medicine. He earned his degree from AdventHealth University in 2021 (confirmar) where he made the Dean’s List three times (confirm). He is originally from Cali, Colombia, where he worked as a general practitioner before moving to the United States to continue his profession, helping his patients understand that health is achieved from the wellness of body, mind and spirit.
