Dr. Luis Garcia Fresneda’s personal objective consists of improving and promoting the well-being of all patients through teamwork, thoroughness, empathy, and the best possible medical care that can be provided. He believes that health is the greatest asset we have, and if both patients and healthcare teams work together to maintain or improve it, the results will be better. This is exemplified by one of his favorite quotes from Benjamin Franklin, which states that “ an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Dr. Garcia felt drawn to medicine early on in his life, believing that medicine is not only one of the most beautiful areas of science, but also one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences since it involves helping others. Born and raised in Santiago de Cuba, he obtained his medical degree at the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba and completed his residency at Manati Medical Center in Puerto Rico. He specializes in adult medicine, urology, and managing chronic conditions.

Since 1994, Dr. Garcia has been the recipient of multiple special recognitions and awards, graduating cum laude and being part of NCQA recognition programs, as well as being passionate about breast and prostate cancer awareness. His hobbies include watching baseball, spending quality time with his family, watching movies, reading good books, and walking.
